Come to listen carefully as I speak

For my lyrical incline is that of unique

What comes to mind is poetry that’s deep

With word play that has a certain mystique

I write down venom with this pen and pad

Blood spills out that of happy and sad

What I look forward to have or may have had

No emotion comes to be safe glad or mad

In this life we live some give some take

It’s all about survival make no mistake

There are those who are real those that are fake

A big fish in a pond yet life is no lake

I’m going to be honest and speak what is true

One day at a time do what we got to do

Not all climb the ladder just a chosen few

Make a change for the better it all starts with you
