This goes out to my mother I hold dear

She helped give me life on this earth

I will forever hold her in my heart near

Staying by my side since first day of birth

She is the person that helped make me the man I am today

Without her I don’t know who’d I be

This is the reason why my heart is so pure each and everyday

You are appreciated for always truly loving me

Family and friends encourage one to do better

My mother though is forever the foundation

Whenever I need help through a storm to weather

She was there always for me without hesitation 

So I now open up my heart to say I love you

I may not have told thee each and everyday

Understand every word I wrote to be so true

Within ones heart you shall inside forever stay
